The Realistic Packing List for a Morocco Surf Trip
Don't overpack. Surf camp life is incredibly casual. Here is exactly what you need to bring for a week in Tamraght, and what you can safely leave at home.
Check AvailabilityThe Essentials (Don't Forget These)
- High SPF Sunscreen & Zinc: The Moroccan sun is strong, even in winter. Bring a physical zinc stick for your face.
- Two Swimsuits/Bikinis: So you always have a dry one to put on while the other is drying.
- A Reusable Water Bottle: Essential for staying hydrated on the beach.
- Warm Layers for Evenings (Winter Only): If you travel between November and March, bring a warm hoodie and long pants. The evenings get chilly.
- Basic Medical Kit: Plasters, ibuprofen, and basic stomach meds (standard travel precautions).
What You DO NOT Need to Bring
- Surfboard & Wetsuit: Unless you are an advanced surfer attached to your specific board, save the airline baggage fees. We provide high-quality boards (foam and hard) and warm wetsuits in our packages.
- Fancy Clothes: The vibe in Tamraght is extremely relaxed. Nobody dresses up for dinner. T-shirts, shorts, and comfortable clothes are all you need.
- Towels (Usually): We provide bath towels at the villa. Just bring one lightweight beach towel.
The 'Nice to Have' Items
- A Dry Bag: Great for keeping your phone and wallet sand-free on the beach.
- Earplugs for Surfing: If you are prone to ear infections.
- A Good Book: For those lazy, recovery afternoons on the rooftop.
